Stress in Early Childhood
and how it may interfere with
TEACHERS AND SNAs
This presentation will outline how stress and anxiety in the early years may impact on behaviour, peer interaction, academic performance and learning later on in school.
Examples will be given of how such children may be identified while in the classroom and in the school yard. Some support strategies will be offered which may be implemented by
teachers, in order to reduce anxiety and improve behaviour in the classroom.
