NEPS in conjunction with Sligo Education Centre are delighted to offer Facilitator Training in MY FRIENDS Youth (Post-Primary) to teachers in Sligo Post-Primary Schools. The programme will be hosted live by NEPS via Zoom over 3 webinars. Dates and time for the webinars are listed below.

This anxiety prevention and resilience programme complements the JCT Wellbeing Programme.  More information can be found on:  www.friendsresilience.org. Facilitator training to teach the programme to students and order materials requires attendance at all three webinars. Training is free of charge for teachers. After training, the cost of the Activity Book per student is currently €10 (based on current exchange rate). The Facilitator Manuals for teachers are €12 to €50 (depending on the book format; pdf or printed) which can be purchased from FRIENDS Resilience after training.

This year, the FRIENDS course is being offered to schools in our region, with priority for post-primary schools which are new to DEIS and then other post-primary schools thereafter.
