Introduction to Micro:bit for Beginners with a Small Project

Introduction to Micro:bit for Beginners with a Small Project

This workshop aims to introduce the BBC micro:bit particularly aimed at upper primary school. This session is for complete beginners as well as teachers who might have dabbled with the micro:bit previously.

  • The session will consist of two parts, the first part will be a general overview and introduction to the micro:bit as well as pedagogies and activities that you can use within your classroom.
  • The second part will consist of a project (which we can emulate virtually for the purposes of this workshop) that will involve a remote temperature sensor outside of the classroom sending the temperature into the classroom for students then to develop into projects with real-world context.
