Supporting Maths through Sensory Play in the Infant Classrooms & SET

We are all sensory beings. We make sense of the world through our senses. This innovative webinar aims to enhance and support the teaching and acquisition of literacy in the junior/senior infant classrooms and in special education. This hour is packed with simple, fun, achievable ideas, tools, tips, advice and resources to empower your teaching. Learning through sensory play can help children to become regulated, so they can build relationship with you as their teacher and reach the learning brain.
There will be ideas on fidget toys, sensory trays and sensory based learning, movement activities & games to enhance all areas of the Maths curriculum in the infant classroom and in special education.

Debbie Cullinane is a mother of 2, qualified child and adolescent psychotherapist, play therapist and runs her own private practice in Co Mayo. Debbie has over ten years teaching experience as a primary school teacher. She is Sensory partner with Smyths Toys Superstores. She is an experienced training facilitator & is passionate about empowering teachers, SNAs and parents. Debbie was named Network Mayo’s Emerging Businesswoman on the Year 2023
